Shadowhunters is finally back! Yeah, I´m actually excited about this show coming back and as you might know, I wasn´t a fan when it began, but! The mid-season finale really got to me and managed to raise my expectations, and so… here I am.
Anyhow the Season 2B premiere had the monumental task of connecting season´s A overall arch to this one´s, all the while maintaining the urgency feeling and not lowering the quality Shadowhunters has managed to rise -in fact, I would have to say that the big task for this half of the season is to raise it even more!-
So… how did the summer premiere do? Well, I´m here, no? -late, but here- So that should give you a hint, therefore here we go:

If you had told me a couple of weeks ago that I would be here writing about Shadowhunters of all shows, I would have pegged you as crazy, ´cause yeah…, that first episode was awful.
But here we are after 23 episodes, so there must be something to this show, right?
Well…, Shadowhunters is still not on Teen Wolf levels of awesomeness, but it´s getting there! ´cause as I have mentioned before season 2 is really a vast improvement to season 1. I´m finally fully invested in the characters and what´s happening with them outside of the overall plot, and that I have always believed, it´s the markings of good TV; when you start to care so much for the characters that the plot is just an extra.
But it wasn´t until this week episode that I had the need to write about one of this show episodes, ´cause… things got real pretty quickly in the Winter Finale.

I was not ready for this, it´s been weeks and I´m still not ready, and maybe, maybe I´ll never be. ´Cause this show still had a lot to give, and proof of that are episodes like this one, that managed to perfectly balance fan-service, humor, feels and life lessons.
As I have mentioned before, Girl Meets World and I have had our issues, but still, I love -loved?- this show so much that watching this episode actually made me tear up a little -and I don´t cry!-, therefore it´s just now, that I´m sort of able to write about this episode, which in true GMW fashion, though it was a goodbye of sorts; somehow it still managed to leave me feeling hopeful.
But, let´s leave that aside for the moment and dig deeper into Girl Meets Goodbye

So Grimm is ending and Teen Wolf is leaving, and although I still have Supernatural -Thank Chuck!- I figured it was time to look for another series about paranormal stuff to fill the void in my heart that these series -mainly Teen Wolf- will be leaving in my heart and so… Shadowhunters appeared.
Yes, I know, the series premiered like more than a year ago – I think-, so how come it´s only now that I´m getting into it? Well… I did see the premiere via Netflix, but… let´s just say it didn´t make that big of an impression, ´cause I really thought that the acting wasn’t that good -bearing some exceptions-, the visual effects and action severely lacking, the dialogue cringe worthy at times and the story… well let´s leave at the fact that I have read the first 3 books of Cassandra Clare´s Mortal Instruments series and I´m not dying to read the rest, so yeah…. I gave up.
Luckily, some of my friends bared with the series and stuck to it and then they told me that it actually got better and if I didn´t like the main character(s) -which was the case-, there were others and some story developments -different from the books- that more than made up for it-, so… were they right?

Can we prepare for the future based on our past? ´cause basically that´s what history is all about, to learn from our mistakes and prepare ourselves for what is to come based on what we have experience but… can we really be prepare?
That´s the question that Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen had its protagonists asking themselves and hence we find ourselves asking ourselves the same question. ´Cause we all know no matter how much we look back on our lives to be prepared, the only certain thing in life is that life is uncertain.
Just like the future of this great show is at the moment; something that having seen this episode, I can´t help but think the writers already knew but let´s not the well so much on that and move onto the episode itself:

Why am I not surprised Riley is so over the top about Christmas? In fact if anything surprised me, is that we are 3 seasons in, and it´s only now become apparent how much into Christmas she is!
I mean in season 1 we had a Christmas episode but in a way it was more along the lines of recovering a long-lost family member -Shawn- and fan service than anything else, so… maybe that´s why?
Anyhow, it might be a little silly, but the reason why I´m just now writing my thoughts about this episode is because I decide to wait ´til Christmas to watch Girl Meets a Christmas Maya as part of my being more into the Christmas spirit -along with watching and reading Christmassy things- so… Christmas day it was.

Wow! It´s been really a long time since I last wrote about Supergirl, and is not because I didn´t like the episodes or had nothing to say -quite the opposite really-, but you know… real life happens and there was also the Gilmore Girls revival thing so yeah… writing as often as I´d like to has been difficult -I´ve missed writing about Teen Wolf!-.
That being said, it´s kind of sad that I decided to start my reviews again when Supergirl is going on break, and with an episode that was… ok I guess, except that for it being a midseason finale, it didn´t really feel like it so I´m kind of disappointed.
I mean, I still totally love this series! but… I expected more? Or maybe the other series I watch have spoiled me with their midseasons finals because I was waiting for Supergirl to go into hiatus with a bang and sadly this wasn´t it, but…, I guess there´s always next year so, on to the episode.

Does everyone have to be a superhero? Like seriously we already have Ms. Martian, Mon-El, and Martina Manhunter -that´s a lot of M´s-, do we really need James Olsen to join them? and Jimmy Olsen?
I mean nothing against Jimmy, but this seems like the Arrow dilemma with Laurel all over again.
So… let´s just hope it doesn´t go the same way the whole Black Canary arc went down; unless that means Jimmy will leave the series, because if that´s the case… I think I can be ok with it, and it´s not that I don´t like Jimmy, not really, but… anyway onto the episode.

When there´s something strange in your prison block, who you gonna call? Ghost Rider! Or at least that´s who S.H.I.E.L.D. is calling, ´cause this week Robbie Reyes kicked some spirits asses back to hell -or wherever they belong-, while doing a prison break with our core S.H.I.E.L.D. team, which… is back!
Well…, sort of ´cause Daisy insists on being her emo self and plans to bail when all this ghost business is done, and after what happened this week, I doubt the director will let our core team hang out together and do what they please without severe consequences. And after what happened, I can understand that -I don´t like it but yeah, I get it-.
Anyway, last week I didn´t have the time to review this episode, and I was planning to do it this week before Lockup premiered but… life what can you do, so I´ll try to focus on this episode and maybe mention some things from the previous one, so… let´s begin.

Seriously, how many aliens are there living in Supergirl´s earth?!, How come the D.E.O. doesn´t know about them? Do they know about them?
´Cause there´s a whole bar they didn´t know about so one has to wonder how many other bars are there.
And, if Supergirl´s president is pushing an Alien Amnesty Act, there must be at least hundreds if not thousands of them, right?, right?
Anyway in my last review I mentioned a little about how Supergirl seemed to be treating aliens as a kind of commentary on immigration, and I guess now no one can say that´s not the case since this week Supergirl went full on political with the whole aliens as legal citizens and the introduction of its madame president.
So.. how did this go? Well, let’s see:
