Time really flies when you’re having fun, or when you´re so busy that you can´t do any of the things you like. But.. anyhow be it whatever the case it is, there´s an irrefutable truth, summer is over.
For some of us, this means nothing, since we don´t have vacations anyway, but for some others, the end of summer means going back to school or work. So… in order to hopefully make this transition easier on myself -after all, kids going back to class means more traffic for me and waking up earlier-, here´s my list of the movies that I definitely don´t want to miss this August and some that… I´m still thinking about.
Note: As always, since I live in Mexico, this list only has the Mexican release date, so you have been warned

Summer is here! Well… partially ´cause we´re not on vacations or at least not in Mexico -and I don´t have vacations anyway-, but technically speaking Summer has just begun and with it the summer blockbuster movie season -or at least that´s how it’s supposed to go-
Anyhow, this month at least, there are more than 2 movies that I really want to watch, and some others that… I´m still thinking about.
And as always just a friendly reminder that this since I live in Mexico, this is the Mexican release schedule, so… with nothing else to address, on to the list:
Y como siempre, solo les recuerdo amigablemente que como vivo en México, esta es la cartelera Mexicana con sus fechas, en fin…, sin nada más que decir, a la lista:

Surprisingly, there are not that many movies I wish to watch in April, I mean May had plenty but surprisingly enough, even though April is supposed to be closer to the blockbuster movie summer, nope, there are not that many movies that I wish to watch, which in hindsides is something good, ´cause I´m definitely going to need that money come May.
Anyhow, last month I manage to watch in the cinema almost all of the movies I wanted -with the exception of Power Rangers because of several reasons that I´ll discuss later on- so… this month, I should able to manage it, right?
Anyhow, on to the list:
De cualquier modo, a la lista:

Last fall I made a list of all the shows that I wanted to see in 2016-2017, ´cause back then it was my intention to not only watch all of them but also review some. Needless to say that real life had other plans and now I can barely keep with all the things I want to read, watch and write, but… anyway.
Anyway between all of these new shows, there was a little NBC comedy wich only had a 13 episode order this season and had Kristen Bell as it´s protagonist.
Now I´m not a big Kristen Bell fan, I mean I know she did Ana´s voice in Frozen -I think- and that she was the lead on the fan favorite series Veronica Mars -which for some reason I never got to watch-, so… quite frankly the only reason why I decided to watch the series was because the trailer sold it to me.
But I could have never imagined that The Good Place -the show mentioned- would become one of my favorites, my favorite comedy -so far-, and the one show that I couldn´t miss at all!
Reasons to love The Good Place I´ve got plenty, ´cause yes, it´s just that good; but since this is already turning out to be a long post, I decided to just enlist some of the reasons why this is such a forking awesome show.

I was not ready for this, it´s been weeks and I´m still not ready, and maybe, maybe I´ll never be. ´Cause this show still had a lot to give, and proof of that are episodes like this one, that managed to perfectly balance fan-service, humor, feels and life lessons.
As I have mentioned before, Girl Meets World and I have had our issues, but still, I love -loved?- this show so much that watching this episode actually made me tear up a little -and I don´t cry!-, therefore it´s just now, that I´m sort of able to write about this episode, which in true GMW fashion, though it was a goodbye of sorts; somehow it still managed to leave me feeling hopeful.
But, let´s leave that aside for the moment and dig deeper into Girl Meets Goodbye

Can we prepare for the future based on our past? ´cause basically that´s what history is all about, to learn from our mistakes and prepare ourselves for what is to come based on what we have experience but… can we really be prepare?
That´s the question that Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen had its protagonists asking themselves and hence we find ourselves asking ourselves the same question. ´Cause we all know no matter how much we look back on our lives to be prepared, the only certain thing in life is that life is uncertain.
Just like the future of this great show is at the moment; something that having seen this episode, I can´t help but think the writers already knew but let´s not the well so much on that and move onto the episode itself:

Why am I not surprised Riley is so over the top about Christmas? In fact if anything surprised me, is that we are 3 seasons in, and it´s only now become apparent how much into Christmas she is!
I mean in season 1 we had a Christmas episode but in a way it was more along the lines of recovering a long-lost family member -Shawn- and fan service than anything else, so… maybe that´s why?
Anyhow, it might be a little silly, but the reason why I´m just now writing my thoughts about this episode is because I decide to wait ´til Christmas to watch Girl Meets a Christmas Maya as part of my being more into the Christmas spirit -along with watching and reading Christmassy things- so… Christmas day it was.

The moment we were all waiting for finally came! We had all of the CW´s DC superheroes -or at least most of them – in one long crossover episode that practically amounted to a 2hr or so movie!
Yes, I know it took me ages, but I finally had time to post my thoughts on Invasion, the TV team up we have been all waiting for and never thought would be possible to have, So… eventhough it´s been like a week or so since it… here are my thoughts.
Anyhow, when I heard Supergirl was going to continue on the CW, I knew they had to include her in a crossover sooner or later, in whichever form they could. In fact, I was so excited that my friends and I agreed to wait ´til all the episodes were out so we could watch them as a 2hr movie, and I even got my brothers to watch it!
That being said, I´m a little disappointed that Supergirl -the show- wasn´t part of the crossover; but I can understand the logistics still being kind of wonky and the fact that making Supergirl part of the main earth in which all events happen, would signify severe changes for the series -and maybe the other ones to-, so… I guess I´m ok with it.
Therefore, since the storyline was really divided in 3 series, I thought it would be a good idea to do the same with my review. So… Invasion!

Me being late to review Supergirl and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seems to be becoming a tradition -I have to break it, and I have to do it now-.
Anyhow, the season premiere was good, pretty good, in fact, I´d say great; except that for all that I liked the episode, I felt like something was missing. I still don´t know what that “something” was but what I do know is that the second episode, the second episode was awesome!
It had it all! It was funny, had great action, touching moments and even some drama. As I said this episode pretty much had it all, to the point of being almost perfect or at least in my book, which is why I can only hope that Supergirl continues to do as well as in this episode, on a week to week basis.
Anyway… on to The Last Children of Krypton:

I usually dedicate this section to the books I really, really wish to read. The ones that keep teasing me with their synopsis and Goodreads keeps on pushing my way. But since I have only written 2 posts in this section -not counting this one-, I have decided to
do something a little different and make a sort of book list per month -or 2 months-.
I have sort of done something like this in my comic book posts, so… the rules to apply here will be kind of similar.
Anyway, in this instance, I decided to go with books that gave me a kind of Halloween and Día de Muertos feeling, ´cause that´s basically October and November -at least in regards to festivities- are all about in my country if you leave the 20 de noviembre behind -revolutions day-
And I know that October is almost over, but this just makes it more fun to see if at least I´ll manage to finish one book in a week, right?
Anyhow, these are my October-November picks -warning I don´t like horror-:
