Shadowhunters is finally back! Yeah, I´m actually excited about this show coming back and as you might know, I wasn´t a fan when it began, but! The mid-season finale really got to me and managed to raise my expectations, and so… here I am.
Anyhow the Season 2B premiere had the monumental task of connecting season´s A overall arch to this one´s, all the while maintaining the urgency feeling and not lowering the quality Shadowhunters has managed to rise -in fact, I would have to say that the big task for this half of the season is to raise it even more!-
So… how did the summer premiere do? Well, I´m here, no? -late, but here- So that should give you a hint, therefore here we go:

Surprisingly, there are not that many movies I wish to watch in April, I mean May had plenty but surprisingly enough, even though April is supposed to be closer to the blockbuster movie summer, nope, there are not that many movies that I wish to watch, which in hindsides is something good, ´cause I´m definitely going to need that money come May.
Anyhow, last month I manage to watch in the cinema almost all of the movies I wanted -with the exception of Power Rangers because of several reasons that I´ll discuss later on- so… this month, I should able to manage it, right?
Anyhow, on to the list:
De cualquier modo, a la lista:

Once again I´m late with my reading list -this is starting to be the norm now-, but at least I have already finished the first of my April picks so…. not everything is lost, right?
Anyway last month I was able to read almost all of my March picks -I didn´t read my Spanish book pick-, so let’s hope this month I can do at least as good if not better than March.
So…. for this month the books, I also tried to choose books that had something to do with the things celebrated in April -which were surprisingly plenty- such as kid´s day, book´s day and Gabriel García Márquez -a Colombian journalist, writer, etc.- birthday.
Anyhow, without any further ado, to the list:

It´s been a very long time since I last wrote anything in this section of the blog -and many others-, so I thought it was time to try something different -sort off since I´ve been doing it on my book section- and try to post about all the movies I want to watch or I´m at least curious about per month.
The reason why it took me ´til March to make this change on the blog is because movies more often than not -still less than in the past- tend to be released in México several weeks -if not months- after their premier in the United States, but since most of the movies I want to watch are blockbusters or animated movies and those tend to be released more or on the same dates -sometimes before with Marvel, sometimes the same day with Fox, and others with a few weeks difference- I decided to make this post in both English and Spanish.
Anyway, here´s the list of the movies -with their Mexican release date- I´m watching at the cinema and the ones I´m waiting to stream:
Enfin, he quí mi lista de las películas -con sus fechas de estreno en México- que vere en el cine y las que esperaré a ver desde mi hogar:

If you had told me a couple of weeks ago that I would be here writing about Shadowhunters of all shows, I would have pegged you as crazy, ´cause yeah…, that first episode was awful.
But here we are after 23 episodes, so there must be something to this show, right?
Well…, Shadowhunters is still not on Teen Wolf levels of awesomeness, but it´s getting there! ´cause as I have mentioned before season 2 is really a vast improvement to season 1. I´m finally fully invested in the characters and what´s happening with them outside of the overall plot, and that I have always believed, it´s the markings of good TV; when you start to care so much for the characters that the plot is just an extra.
But it wasn´t until this week episode that I had the need to write about one of this show episodes, ´cause… things got real pretty quickly in the Winter Finale.

Yes, I know. We´re basically halfway through February, and I´m just posting my book picks of the month; but since today is Valentine´s, I figured it was a good day as any to post the books that I intended to read this month.
Last month, ´cause I knew I wouldn´t have that much time, I planned on reading only 3 books -I think-, but in the end, even that turned out to be too many, since Middlemarch turned out to be a way more difficult read than expected.
Anyway, this month, I´m back to making things difficult for myself, since I have 4 books listed, and I´m still reading the first one -there are so many things to do!-, so… let´s see how things turn around this month.
Here are my Valentine´s Day book picks:

So Grimm is ending and Teen Wolf is leaving, and although I still have Supernatural -Thank Chuck!- I figured it was time to look for another series about paranormal stuff to fill the void in my heart that these series -mainly Teen Wolf- will be leaving in my heart and so… Shadowhunters appeared.
Yes, I know, the series premiered like more than a year ago – I think-, so how come it´s only now that I´m getting into it? Well… I did see the premiere via Netflix, but… let´s just say it didn´t make that big of an impression, ´cause I really thought that the acting wasn’t that good -bearing some exceptions-, the visual effects and action severely lacking, the dialogue cringe worthy at times and the story… well let´s leave at the fact that I have read the first 3 books of Cassandra Clare´s Mortal Instruments series and I´m not dying to read the rest, so yeah…. I gave up.
Luckily, some of my friends bared with the series and stuck to it and then they told me that it actually got better and if I didn´t like the main character(s) -which was the case-, there were others and some story developments -different from the books- that more than made up for it-, so… were they right?

I´m a little late to this post due to the fact that I got a little behind with my Christmas reads -I just finished Navidad en las Montañas yesterday- and that my book club just decided yesterday in which book we are going to read this month.
Anyhow, like I´m making a habit of, for January I decided to read books that had to do with the New Year or at least talk about new beginnings, changing your life, etc. -with the exception of the book for the book club I´m in-.
So…, doing this actually turned more difficult than the two previous ones ´cause 1) I originally intended for all of the books to be about the New Years -and I could find that many in such a short notice-, and 2) I didn´t take into consideration that one of the books I listed -and already began- it´s longer than expected, so… I had to eliminate another book if I wanted to read the one listed on the book club -and one of my unspoken New Year´s resolutions is to read more of the books chosen there-.
And that´s pretty much it, so with nothing else to say, here´s my list:
