Is Begining To Smell A Lot Like… Christmas Books!

Calling my name

christmas-books-ftrChristmas is here! Well… according to stores in my country, and Netflix. Christmas has been here pretty much since late October/early November, but as someone who likes to celebrate Christmas on Christmas, and gives their time to Halloween and Día de Muertos, yeah, Christmas is just arriving.

Therefore once again I have a list of books I’m hoping I’ll be able to read before the year ends somewhen between all the work I have to do, the visiting family thing, making dinner, baking cookies, receiving guests at home, etc.

But since I’m nothing if not hopeful, and maybe a little ambitious here’s my December TBR list, all of it, winter or Christmas related!

Calling my name

Well, I´m finally back, and just in time for summer!

So thank you, Rick Riordan, for having your Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series consume most of my month!

Anyhow, if anything, Riordan´s books put me just in the mood to give Young Adult -YA- books another go!

So this time around my July TBR list is full of YA novels about summer. love and adventure.

So… What happened to May? Bookworm Problems 101

Calling my name

I had a list! I swear I had a list! I have, in fact, all my 2018 TBR lists per month done! I mean sure before posting said lists sometimes I have to tweak a couple of things here and there -especially when it turns out, the books I wanted to read that month haven´t been released yet-, but for the most part it´s pretty much done!, so… what happened to the May TBR list? Well…

This happened!

April Movies to Not Fool Yourself! (¡Películas de Abril para que no te engañes!)

Watching or waiting

I think this must be the first time I post this list before any movies of the month come out!

Anyhow if I thought there were lots of movies to watch in March and surprisingly February, that was nothing! Nothing I tell you, compared to how many releases there are this April!

So… once again since money is tighter now than ever, I had to make some difficult choices and therefore here´s my watching or waiting list for the April movies released in Mexico.

Books Showering this April!

Calling my name

So… I´m still one book behind my March TBR list, but April is already here, therefore though I haven´t finished Into The Water yet, here I am once again with my book list of the month.

This time around since in my country we celebrate children´s day this month and they tell me that apparently in the United States they celebrate siblings they this month… well my April TBR list is all about kids and siblings, so… here we go!

March Books to Welcome Spring!

Calling my name

So… once again I´m a little late with my TBR list for March, as well as my February book reviews -and I was doing so well!-, but in my defense, well… I got nothing, I mean sure, I´ve been a little busy but in reality, I´ve just been catching up on some series and animes.

Anyhow, back to the list, since in March we basically celebrate the International Woman´s Day, Water Day and Poetry Day?; and I usually like to have a theme, it shouldn´t be a surprise that I tried to find books related in some way to this celebrations.

Therefore…, with nothing else to say, here we go:

Hitorijime my Hero.- ´Cause Everyone Wants a Hero

My classics

posterAs some of you might already know due to my anime review on Super Lovers, I quite enjoy Boys Love -BL- stories, be it yaoi or shounen-ai anime and manga.

But though I truly enjoy this genre, truth is that more often than not the anime adaptations that are made tend to disappoint me -beering some exceptions of course-, and that´s mainly because all of them tend to follow the same tropes. Forceful possessive seme, reluctant feminine uke, some nonconsensual sexual advances, etc.

So… for a time there, I distanced myself from the genre -at least in the anime form- until… Hitorijime my Hero came along.

So… what makes this anime different?
