I pretty much started this blog with a Descendants review, so I guess it makes sense that I´d finally return to it after watching Descendants 2, which premiered via Disney Channel pretty much 2 weeks ago.
So… as some of you might know, I´m a big Disney fan -which includes the Disney Channel-, so I usually watch all the of its DCOMs –Disney Channel Original Movies– more than once, and while I have liked some other movies that have come out since Descendants –Invisible Sister, The Swap– I have to admit that Descendants was still my favorite.
Therefore you can imagine how anxious I was to watch the promised sequel, especially when the heists were so high, ´cause sequels always have it difficult, since they not only have to live up to the hype of the previous movie but also ideally do better.
So… How did Descendants 2 do?

Shadowhunters is finally back! Yeah, I´m actually excited about this show coming back and as you might know, I wasn´t a fan when it began, but! The mid-season finale really got to me and managed to raise my expectations, and so… here I am.
Anyhow the Season 2B premiere had the monumental task of connecting season´s A overall arch to this one´s, all the while maintaining the urgency feeling and not lowering the quality Shadowhunters has managed to rise -in fact, I would have to say that the big task for this half of the season is to raise it even more!-
So… how did the summer premiere do? Well, I´m here, no? -late, but here- So that should give you a hint, therefore here we go:

If you had told me a couple of weeks ago that I would be here writing about Shadowhunters of all shows, I would have pegged you as crazy, ´cause yeah…, that first episode was awful.
But here we are after 23 episodes, so there must be something to this show, right?
Well…, Shadowhunters is still not on Teen Wolf levels of awesomeness, but it´s getting there! ´cause as I have mentioned before season 2 is really a vast improvement to season 1. I´m finally fully invested in the characters and what´s happening with them outside of the overall plot, and that I have always believed, it´s the markings of good TV; when you start to care so much for the characters that the plot is just an extra.
But it wasn´t until this week episode that I had the need to write about one of this show episodes, ´cause… things got real pretty quickly in the Winter Finale.

Last fall I made a list of all the shows that I wanted to see in 2016-2017, ´cause back then it was my intention to not only watch all of them but also review some. Needless to say that real life had other plans and now I can barely keep with all the things I want to read, watch and write, but… anyway.
Anyway between all of these new shows, there was a little NBC comedy wich only had a 13 episode order this season and had Kristen Bell as it´s protagonist.
Now I´m not a big Kristen Bell fan, I mean I know she did Ana´s voice in Frozen -I think- and that she was the lead on the fan favorite series Veronica Mars -which for some reason I never got to watch-, so… quite frankly the only reason why I decided to watch the series was because the trailer sold it to me.
But I could have never imagined that The Good Place -the show mentioned- would become one of my favorites, my favorite comedy -so far-, and the one show that I couldn´t miss at all!
Reasons to love The Good Place I´ve got plenty, ´cause yes, it´s just that good; but since this is already turning out to be a long post, I decided to just enlist some of the reasons why this is such a forking awesome show.

I was not ready for this, it´s been weeks and I´m still not ready, and maybe, maybe I´ll never be. ´Cause this show still had a lot to give, and proof of that are episodes like this one, that managed to perfectly balance fan-service, humor, feels and life lessons.
As I have mentioned before, Girl Meets World and I have had our issues, but still, I love -loved?- this show so much that watching this episode actually made me tear up a little -and I don´t cry!-, therefore it´s just now, that I´m sort of able to write about this episode, which in true GMW fashion, though it was a goodbye of sorts; somehow it still managed to leave me feeling hopeful.
But, let´s leave that aside for the moment and dig deeper into Girl Meets Goodbye

So Grimm is ending and Teen Wolf is leaving, and although I still have Supernatural -Thank Chuck!- I figured it was time to look for another series about paranormal stuff to fill the void in my heart that these series -mainly Teen Wolf- will be leaving in my heart and so… Shadowhunters appeared.
Yes, I know, the series premiered like more than a year ago – I think-, so how come it´s only now that I´m getting into it? Well… I did see the premiere via Netflix, but… let´s just say it didn´t make that big of an impression, ´cause I really thought that the acting wasn’t that good -bearing some exceptions-, the visual effects and action severely lacking, the dialogue cringe worthy at times and the story… well let´s leave at the fact that I have read the first 3 books of Cassandra Clare´s Mortal Instruments series and I´m not dying to read the rest, so yeah…. I gave up.
Luckily, some of my friends bared with the series and stuck to it and then they told me that it actually got better and if I didn´t like the main character(s) -which was the case-, there were others and some story developments -different from the books- that more than made up for it-, so… were they right?

Can we prepare for the future based on our past? ´cause basically that´s what history is all about, to learn from our mistakes and prepare ourselves for what is to come based on what we have experience but… can we really be prepare?
That´s the question that Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen had its protagonists asking themselves and hence we find ourselves asking ourselves the same question. ´Cause we all know no matter how much we look back on our lives to be prepared, the only certain thing in life is that life is uncertain.
Just like the future of this great show is at the moment; something that having seen this episode, I can´t help but think the writers already knew but let´s not the well so much on that and move onto the episode itself:

We suspecedt it was coming but it still hurts, it hurts and it´s a sad, sad day when a good show, a show that you like it´s canceled. Especially when that show had so much more potential!
I mean Girl Meets World and I have had our stumbles, and there were some episodes that really made me question why I watched the series, but overall it was a good series and it saddens me that the series won´t be able to stretch its arms and grow into the great show it could have been.

Why am I not surprised Riley is so over the top about Christmas? In fact if anything surprised me, is that we are 3 seasons in, and it´s only now become apparent how much into Christmas she is!
I mean in season 1 we had a Christmas episode but in a way it was more along the lines of recovering a long-lost family member -Shawn- and fan service than anything else, so… maybe that´s why?
Anyhow, it might be a little silly, but the reason why I´m just now writing my thoughts about this episode is because I decide to wait ´til Christmas to watch Girl Meets a Christmas Maya as part of my being more into the Christmas spirit -along with watching and reading Christmassy things- so… Christmas day it was.

The moment we were all waiting for finally came! We had all of the CW´s DC superheroes -or at least most of them – in one long crossover episode that practically amounted to a 2hr or so movie!
Yes, I know it took me ages, but I finally had time to post my thoughts on Invasion, the TV team up we have been all waiting for and never thought would be possible to have, So… eventhough it´s been like a week or so since it… here are my thoughts.
Anyhow, when I heard Supergirl was going to continue on the CW, I knew they had to include her in a crossover sooner or later, in whichever form they could. In fact, I was so excited that my friends and I agreed to wait ´til all the episodes were out so we could watch them as a 2hr movie, and I even got my brothers to watch it!
That being said, I´m a little disappointed that Supergirl -the show- wasn´t part of the crossover; but I can understand the logistics still being kind of wonky and the fact that making Supergirl part of the main earth in which all events happen, would signify severe changes for the series -and maybe the other ones to-, so… I guess I´m ok with it.
Therefore, since the storyline was really divided in 3 series, I thought it would be a good idea to do the same with my review. So… Invasion!
