Why Voltron Legendary Defender is more than a Kids Show

Why not

voltron-legendary-defender-1-e14549694407951You know what´s the best thing about getting into a series late on? Particularly a Netflix one?
Not having to wait months for a new season!

So…, yeah basically a month ago, I finally decided to make use of my Netflix subscription and watch some of the Netflix show that I have been meaning to watch but for some reason, I haven´t, and… among them there was Voltron!

So… yeah, at the beginning I was a little unsure ´cause while I have been a huge fan of “kids series” like Phineas & Ferb, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Gravity Falls, Miraculous Lady Bug, etc., there have been some others that… have made me wonder what the heck are kids watching and learning these days -and man does that make me feel old-.

But in the end… watching the promo and learning that some of the creative team behind The Legend of Korra were also behind these series… well I had to give a chance.

And I´m actually glad I did! I won´t say that Voltron Legendary DefendersVLD– is the best-animated series out there, ´cause there are plenty of awesome series and it does start kind of slow, but what I will say without doubt is that the series does have a lot of attention to detail, it´s really well written, has awesome animation, heart and doesn´t dumb things down. Movies to say Goodbye to the Winter (Películas para Despedir el Invierno)

Watching or waiting

Well, January is finally over, and there are actually a bunch of interesting movies that I want to watch this month, though… not so much money, therefore… even though there are plenty of movies that I want to see at the cinema, I had to cut my list down.

So, once more, here´s the list of movies that I intend to watch immediately at the cinema and the ones that… will have to wait a little longer.

Note: Remember I live in Mexico, so these are Mexican release dates

Movies to Start the Year! (¡Películas para Empezar el Año!)

Watching or waiting

January sucks! I mean my birthday is in January and I like the weather and all, but as far as movie releases go -at least in my country-, it´s the worst month.

And what´s worse, is that I have 2×1 all month, and… no movies to watch, so I thought about skipping this but… in the end decided to give it a go, so here we are.

¡Enero apesta!

New Year, New Beginnings, and New Book List to Read!

Calling my name

colaj-manele-despre-viata-2017-octombrieI know, I know, it´s late, but in my defense, I did make some post before the year began, and I´m almost finished with my first pick of the year so…

Anyhow, this time last year, I made my book list of the month to start the year on a good -or at least interesting- note, and this time around is no different, except that I´m hoping to start it with optimism. Which is why my January picks are all about winter wonder, magic, and fluffy feelings -with maybe an exception-.

So…, without further ado, here we go!

El año pasado en estos momentos, estaba trabajando en mis propósitos de año nuevo, y 2018 no es diferente.

Así que, ¡aquí vamos!

Happy New Year!
This time last year, I was working on my New Years resolutions, and 2018 is no different.

Countdown to 12.- TV Wonders and Disapointments of the Year

Why not

There are less than 24hrs to go for New Years, and with the book, movie and comic book list done, it´s time for the series I have enjoyed the most this year!

Once again I have grouped this list in my favorite 6 and my least favorites, so it doesn´t  mean they are the best or worst series, just the ones I´m liking the most.

Anyhow, I didn´t mention some series like Teen Wolf, Grimm, etc, since they are done and deserve their own posts, so… without further ado, here we go!
